Description

Summary

Fitted with a SOHC engine. Since 1988 it has been a prized member of one of the finest private car collections in the U.S. Recently refreshed by Mike McCluskey.

Details

Completed by Shelby American by January 31, 1967, this car was one of four 33XX cars to receive a 428 engine rather than the 427, which became the standard engine in cars built after February 13 1967. CSX3305 was invoiced to Sexton Ford on February 8, 1967 who, in turn, sold the car to a doctor in Iowa. In 1973 it was sold to a new owner in Durango, Colorado. During this ownership the engine was changed for a 427 SOHC engine from Holman & Moody. The engine was blueprinted by Aldridge Racing Engines. Since 1988 it has been a prized member of one of the finest private collections in the U.S. The vendor has had the car refreshed by Mike McCluskey prior to being sold.
