The Corvette Nomad that GM should have built was my goal. In 1954 Chevrolet built a concept Corvette Nomad for display at the Motorama show. The public loved it. GM built steel Nomads 1955-1957. I liked the 1956/57 Corvette styling much better, so dreamed about the next generation Waldorf Nomad that never was. In 1981, I bought two Nomads and started collecting parts and making plans. By 1998 I was ready. After 3 years of very hard work, my project was finished. Its built the way I thought GM would build it with 283/250 Fuel Injected engine, 4-speed, power windows, power rear window, power antenna and Wonderbar. I built the under hood area to please a Corvette judge. The lower body is all custom fiberglass except the tailgate. The chassis and body have major changes. All components are new, NOS, repro or restored originals. The only updates are an electric fuel pump (helps Fuel Injection start fast after storage), AM/FM conversion to Wonderbar and quartz clock.
