Although the first series cars (1953-1955) introduced the Corvette to America, it was the second series, launched in 1956, which earned Corvette the title as 'Americas Sports Car'. The clean good looks of Harley Earl's new body immediately struck a cord with the American public! Over the years of designs became more impressive with heavy displays of chrome, undoubtedly though, most of the appeal eventually came from under the hood. By 1962 the engine options ranged with versions all the way up to 340 horsepower for non-fuel injected engines. This roadster has recently completed a meticulous 9 year body-off the frame restoration detailed to absolute show status condition. Powered in its era by the 327/340 horsepower engine with a 4 speed transmission and positraction rear-end. Additional upgrades include improved electrical and cooling system and a brake system that includes disc brakes and dual exhaust make it fun and enjoyable to drive! Also equipped with a radio, heater and auxiliary hardtop. Finished to perfection in its original version of 'Honduras Maroon' with black interior. Fresh and outstanding, ready to enjoy!
