Details
Purchased new by Lewis Carlisle in November 1968 from Galpin Ford in Los Angeles. I purchased the car in September of 1987 after his death with 6,237 actual miles. It still retains almost all of its original parts including tires, belts, hoses, spark plugs, points, condenser, etc. The paint and interior are original. Featured in national publications and chosen as a Top 10 Car of 1989 in 'Hot Rod's Mustang' Magazine. 2nd place in SAAC Concours at the Portland, Oregon National Convention, Chairman's Choice Award at the SAAC National Convention at Indianapoli. Featured at the Bloomington Gold Special Collection. It spent one year in Carroll Shelby's Museum in Las Vegas and has been signed by him inside the trunk lid. The car is truly a time capsule and a 'King of the Road'.
