Details
This Chevrolet truck spent all of its working life in the Apple Hill area near Placerville, California. It was fully restored from 1978 to 1982 by Glenn Shaffer and represents a contrast to the beautiful classic cars of the early 1930's. The 207 Cu. In., 6 cylinder engine generates 68 horsepower with 4-speed transmission. Excellent wood bed and side panels with catchhooks. While quite rare today, these trucks were everywhere in the 1930's and were considered about the most economical and reliable commercial vehicles available. This low mileage, fully restored truck worked exclusively in the 'Apple Hill Orchards' from 1935 to 1975.
