Details
To add to their sporty performance image, the 1979 Trans Am had a new distinctive front and rear appearance and a revised engine lineup. The grille has a horizontal pattern integrated into the bumper and four rectangular headlamps recessed individually into the front panel. The tail lamps for the Trans Am feature a new (for 1979) black lens appearance across the entire rear that turns red when the lights are activated. This Trans Am is not restored and is in original condition with the exception of one repaint. It retains all of its original body panels, drive train and interior. Sold new at Marina Pontiac of Santa Cruz, California, this Trans Am retains its original blue & gold plates and is complimented by PHS documents and the following list of factory installed options: air conditioning, California emissions, cruise control, remote deck lid release, soft ray windows, door edge-guards, power antenna, power door locks, power windows, super cooling radiator, AM/FM stereo cassette, tilt steering wheel, and W57 Special Handling Package. Professionally refinished in the factory original Solar Gold metallic paint, this spectacular Trans Am looks, runs and drives spectacularly in every way.
