This car is in silver/ blue paint with red interior. The 550 has a glorious race history in the 1950s and was made famous by the actor James Dean who raced a 550 as a privateer. This particular car was originally built in 1993 by a Navy jet fighter pilot from a Chuck Beck motorsports kit, which is recognized as the premier 550 kit. This fine example has numerous high-performance upgrades and mods including a 180 HP, 2.2 liter , Flat-4 engine, producing a tremendous amount of power for a 1350 pound car. other performance upgrades include vented front disc brakes, coil over front suspension, limited slip differential, external oil cooler, electronic ignition and high performance exhaust. The 2006 restoration included new paint, interior, temp coated exhaust, tires, battery and a rebuilt transmission. other features include a convertible top with side curtains, a Tonneau cover and 3.88:1 rear gear which makes the car very street friendly.
