This is a one-of-a-kind custom built '46 Studebaker M-series ?-ton pickup. These civilian trucks are very rare as their production was halted during World War II then resumed from 1945 until March of 1948. They are said to be one of the most ingeniously designed vehicles of their time. Studebaker used many of their principal component designs for this truck from their passenger cars including engines, transmissions, instrument clusters, bumpers and wheels. What made these trucks so unique was the fact that they were designed so the running boards could be switched from side to side and the fenders from front to rear. This particular truck started its life as a Studebaker ?-ton pickup and has undergone a complete restoration and customization. The truck runs and drives great and has the comfort features of a new truck including power steering, coil suspension, CD player and ice cold Vintage air conditioning. It is powered by a 327/300hp small block Chevy and TH400 transmission, power rack and pinion steering, B&M transmission cooler, Dakota Digital dash and power antenna. This truck has been completely customized with custom body lines, shaved door handles and headlight buckets, custom running boards and baby moon hubcaps. The interior on this truck is completely custom and finished in purple to match the Dark Mulberry paint. Only about 4,000 miles since restoration.
