Built by Kelsen Manufacturing Company out of Stanton, Calif. and sold in Long Beach. This 3-wheel electric car is an eye catcher. The Sports Riders ended up being built by different owners, therefore, badging and serial numbering changed throughout the years. One of the most confusing aspects of the Sports Rider is the virtual absence of information out there. What is known, is that they were manufactured out of Stanton from 1963-1973. Very few were produced and it is difficult to verify actual model year. The new electric Sports Rider was made to be different and it was. This was a true automobile including turn signal, hardtop, bumpers, chargers, steering tiller, horn, rear view mirrors and was sold as a true automobile. Sports Riders have exclusive hood emblems from the 1959 Ford Galaxy 300. The Sports Riders came in primary colors blue, white red and Daytona Yellow.
