Details

This 2005 Porsche Carrera GT has just 3,526 actual miles since it was sold new at Suncoast Porsche in Sarasota, FL. It is one of only 44 ordered for the U.S. market in Fayence Yellow and is reportedly only one of four with an Ascot Brown leather interior. This Carrera GT had a full engine-out service and clutch replaced at 2,010 miles. It comes standard with BOSE audio, navigation, fitted luggage in Ascot Brown, removable tops that stow in the front trunk, color-coded center lock wheels with wheel lock nut, a battery tender and a car cover. The mid-mounted 5.7-liter V10 sports DOHC variable valve timing on intake camshafts and sodium-cooled exhaust valves. It puts out 603hp with 435 ft/lbs of torque and redlines at 8,400 rpm. The Porsche ceramic composite clutch is a twin-plate dry clutch, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. MotorTrend ran an 11.1-second quarter-mile at 133.4 mph. Porsche built a special factory in Leipzig in 2003 to produce the Carrera GT. Both the monocoque chassis and engine mount are made of lightweight, high-strength carbon-fiber reinforced plastic. Additional components were molded in Kevlar. Weight was a consideration at every stage, with the final product tipping the scales at just 3,043 pounds. The Carrera GT (Project Code 980) was produced for two years, from 2004 to 2006, with a total production run of just 1,270 cars worldwide. Of those, 644 came to the U.S. market. CAFAX shows Porsche Cars North America safety recall issued on 08/25/2022: Retrofit sealing cap on front left and right main headlamp.
