Details

This 1965 Shelby GT350 S433 fastback is one of 560 produced for the model year and is in good standing in the Shelby registry as all-original with one repaint in 1987. This Shelby retains its original Shelby America-prepped 289ci OHV Cobra V8 engine equipped with a high-riser aluminum manifold, center pivot float 4-barrel carburetor and special-designed hand-built tubular-tuned exhaust system, thin Cobra aluminum valve covers, extra-capacity fin and baffled aluminum oil pan, fully synchronized BorgWarner special Sebring close-ratio 4-speed transmission with lightweight all-alloy case, Shelby computer-designed competition suspension and 1-inch-diameter front anti-roll bar with fully stabilized torque-controlled rear axle equipped with no-spin limited-slip differential. Stopping power is courtesy of Kelsey-Hayes front disc brakes with ventilated disc and special-flow competition pads and wide rear drum brakes with metallic linings. It is factory-equipped with a lightweight fiberglass hood with an integrally designed functional air scoop. This Shelby retains its original body panels and interior components, is signed by Carroll Shelby, and has its original floor and chassis with factory red oxide paint, along with 350 competition side stripes. This Shelby rides on Shelby/Cragar five-spoke wheels with new reproduction Goodyear blue dot tires, along with a factory spare rim and bias-ply 15-inch tire with spare wheel cover. The all-black interior has bucket-type seats and Shelby-approved competition seatbelts, along with a special instrument cluster with tachometer and oil-pressure gauge, speedometer, fuel gauge and water temperature gauge. Additional interior features include two-speed electric windshield wipers, wood trim, a Shelby Racing steering wheel with quick-ratio steering and a heater. The mileage is documented from 1966 in the original manuals. Shelby America received this GT350 on June 5, 1965, with work beginning on June 11, 1965, and was finished June 21, 1965, and then assigned to Tasca Ford Sales Inc. The sale of this Shelby includes Shelby Registry photo car No. 433, original owner's manuals and 1965 Shelby Magazine articles. 50,967 miles (not indicated on title).
