This Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 has had a two-ownership history, spending most of its life where purchased in Grand Rapids, MI, and has been with its current owner for over 12 years in sunny California. This car has been certified by Jerry MacNeish and it retains its original trim plate with the option code X33 D80, which indicates that it is a true Z/28 spoiler car. This Z/28 was manufactured with the style trim group option, which adds silver chrome accents to the exterior body. A complete restoration to show-quality standards has just been completed. It retains original sheet metal, and the body is very straight with nice gaps throughout. The car retains its original exterior color of Garnet Red done in high-quality paint with black racing stripes that nicely complement the cowl-induction hood. The car sits on brand-new Goodyear GT bias-ply tires. It also retains the original interior color combination of black on black complemented by wood-grain accents on the special instrumentation dash and console. The original sound system is the AM/FM with a unique fader that separates the front and rear speakers. The engine compartment is nicely detailed, including smog equipment, and houses the verified original matching-numbers DZ 302ci V8 engine with the correct block casting and pad numbers, with matching VIN next to the oil filter. It retains a period-correct Muncie 4-speed manual transmission and its original posi-traction rear end with 3.73 gears.
