Description
Lot #651.1 - At a time when most other auto makers were rushing to build new overhead valve V8's, Hudson proved that the old "L-Head" 6 could still be adapted to high performance. With "Twin H Power" these Hornets produced 170 horsepower and dominated NASCAR racing from 1951 through 1954. Factory racing versions produced 210 horsepower! This 1954 Hudson Hornet Convertible features the 308 cubic inch "Twin H Power" 6 cylinder engine, 4-speed hydromatic transmission, wire wheels with Hudson hubcaps, power steering and power brakes. Completely restored in 1989. Less than 100 of these Hornet convertibles were built in 1954 and only a few remain today.
