Besides the racing success in LeMans, France, the car became famous when James Dean was killed instantly in an accident with his 550 Spyder in 1955. The Spyder is manufactured by Beck-Chamonix in Brazil. The final finish to the cars is given at the U.S. facility in Indiana.
