Lot #377.1 - Body off restoration done to put car in 100% factory original condition all matching numbers. On December 2, 1956, Pontiac introduced the 1957 Pontiac Bonneville convertible. This was a very limited car in 1957, the first year for the Bonneville by Pontiac. Each dealer in the US got one of the 630 produced. They were all fuel injected, all convertibles, all either white with red or white with blue with a few "special" order colors. This car is one of only 3 that came from the factory with black and white leather seats. Introduced January 11, 1957 to the public. The 1957 Bonneville came from the factory loaded, powered by a 347-cubic inch motor, with a bore and stroke of 3.94 x 3.56 and a 10.5:1 compression ratio. It was a true limited-edition model, and a one-year only car, as the 1958 underwent major changes in almost every detail.
