Description
Lot #393 - 1963 Austin Healey 3000 BJ7 MKII German export convertible. This car has just had an exhaustive rotisserie restoration. No expense was with over $75,000 invested in restoration. I bought this car from a dealer in Texas. The car comes with a BMC Heritage Certificate. The restoration details are as follows instrumentation was restored, all electric motors were rebuilt or replaced, all wiring was replaced, every electrical system was replaced or repaired. All chrome replated or replaced. Brand new leather and vinyl interior brought back to original specs, carpeting replaced along with Dynamat used. All glass replaced with correct vintage glass. Windshield is correct Triple X glass. Brand new tonneau cover, convertible top and Convertible top cover complete with correct stowage bags. Complete rebuilt engine with hardened valve seats in engine for modern gas usage. Everything completely rebuilt or replaced on engine to include cooling system. the transmission was professionally rebuilt and overdrive solenoid replaced everything new from clutch to slave cylinder, to Gears and bearings. Everything has new ball joints, seals, completely new springs and professionally rebuilt Armstrong lever shocks. Differential rebuilt professionally. Brakes rebuilt professionally, as well as front brake calipers. All brake lines replaced with correct vintage lines and all drums, discs and wheel cylinders and springs replaced. Professionally rebuilt and reshafted carbs and new lines along with new fuel pump and gas tank. Body completely removed, all rusty metal removed and replaced, to include jule enterprises frame rails to eliminate notorious scuttle shake. Modern two stage urethane paint used and repainted back to original Colorado red.
