Lot #840 1966 CHEVROLET CHEVELLE SS CUSTOM 2 DOOR COUPE
Lot #840 - This car started its life as a real big block car before it was turned into a real muscle machine. At the heart is a 496cid big block with an M21 4-speed manual transmission. It has a 12-bolt Chevy housing with 3.91:1 gear ratio and Strange bushings. Other features inclued Barry Grant/Demon 4 barrel 850cfm carburetor, Edelbrock aluminum intake, aluminum heads, Manley push rods, high volume Trick Flow II pump, braided stainless fuel lines and C&R aluminum radiator. The interior fit and finish is excellent with GM two spoke steering wheel, Auto Meter Pro-Lite gauges, original 120mph speedo, floor console, black vinyl buckets and Kenwood stereo system. Finished in a beautiful Hot Rod looking orange with beautiful brightwork. Under the deck lid is Tim Allen's signature. Included with the car are pictures of Tim Allen with the car and Tim signing the car. Built by NHRA assistant crew chief for the McDonalds Racing Team. Was owned by TV and film actor Tim "the tool man" Allen who added a few of his personal touches such as the set of black steel wheels for a classic "cruising down Woodward Avenue" look. This truly is a one-of-a-kind '66 Chevelle. Recently seen on CNBC'S car chasers.
