Rear engine raised block code: 3855961 (1966 big block) Original front engine pad code: It was machined (decked) off during complete rebuild, 396 engine original block number noted and written down, F 01 29 EM code. Note: When the newer TURBO automatic transmission was installed and original Powerglide was removed, there were some very minor changes to the factory "hump area" floor pan and the rear support for the tranny....this is for the "gotta be all original" guys...it was done right, but it is a slight alteration from factory original...as you know, the original Powerglides could not handle the 396 engines....the new tranny makes this a pleasure to drive.
