Lot #1227 - You are viewing possibly the finest example of a Pro-touring 1967 Chevelle SS in the country. This incredible Chevelle sitting before you began life as a real 138 SS car. The body has all of the badges and drip rails removed and the Cowl smoothed to create a sleek exterior that is flawless and arrow straight. The SS hood is retained. The two-stage Merlot over sliver and charcoal paint was applied by Rad Rides by Troy. It is of best in show quality. A set of Billet Specialties Magnitudes wheels with Nitto performance rubber are mounted on all four corners with 18's on the front and 20's on the rear. This completes the exterior of this show-stopping Chevelle. The interior if possible is a step up in creativity like none you have seen before. The seats and door panels have been upholstered in two tone grey leather with a stunning sewn design that should have been considered back in 1967. The hand-fabricated console has also been wrapped in leather and is now equipped with a state of the art classic audio sound system with iPod hook up, Lokar shifter and vintage '67 clock. The headliner is done completely in suede. The dash has been completely smoothed and fitted with a complete set of an Autometer gauges. You will also notice the hand fabricated vents in the lower dash providing cold air from the Vintage Air system. Billet door handles, window cranks, pedals, light switch and tilt steering wheel wrapped in leather highlight the remainder of this interior. Under the hood is a spectacular engine compartment best described as clean and hi-tech, the engine is a custom built 477cid big block sporting a custom painted Street and Performance Fuel Injection system, electronic ignition, March pulley set up, all polished, stainless and Billet accessories as well as a sea of braided lines. The Alumitec dual radiator keep this big block cool while a set of Sanderson headers lets it breathe through the custom dual exhaust. The shifting duties are taken care of by the 700R4 transmission. The horsepower is put to the ground through a GM posi-traction differential spinning a 3.56 gear. The chassis and undercarriage is completely painted in the same charcoal color as the lower body panels. The suspension front and rear is set up with Air Ride Technologies suspension. The stopping power is provided by 4-wheel power disc brakes with slotted and drilled rotors. Complete, complete, complete is how you describe this perfect Pro-touring Chevelle.
