Description
Lot #427 - 1967 Sunbeam Tiger MK-1A. In 1963 the Roots Group in England, approached Carole Shelby, to do for them what Shelby did for the AC Cobra. The result was the Sunbeam Tiger. Of the approximately 7000 Tigers built by Shelby, it is estimated that only 1000-1500 cars exist today. The restoration of the Tiger was done with all of the focus made on keeping this car original. With the exception of a hidden electric ignition, the car is how it rolled off of the Shelby factory floor. This car has always been a California car with the original black California license plate. All indications and research shows that the listed 57,500 miles is accurate. Norm Miller, the utmost authority on the Sunbeam Tiger, has records on this car and his records show that 57,500 miles is accurate. This restoration includes, the original rebuilt Ford 260 V-8 rebuilt 4-speed toploader, new soft top, new paint, new carpet, new brake system and over 400 other new or N.O.S. parts (receipts to show this). This car also has approximately 15 L.A.T (Los Angeles Tiger) factor high performance options including Headers, Edlebrock F4B 4bbl intake free flow exhaust etc.
