Lot #475 - This 1970 442 convertible is out of a private collection. It has all the original sheet metal and all the original interior. The motor, transmission and rear end are matching numbers. The motor is a 455/365hp. The transmission is a Turbo 400. The rear is a 12-bolt 3.23 posi-traction rear from the factory. It has the original colored 14" SSII rims. This 442 was built the first week of August 1969, making this car a very early 1970 442. The factory just started making the 1970 442's the first week of August 1969, when this car was built. This is one of 2,933 convertibles made in 1970. The original color is Sebring Yellow which was a special order color Code 51. Full frame-off restoration with show quality paint. Nicely detailed with floors painted with the same overspray like it came from the factory. Also has painted on factory inspections marks. Loaded with many options which include air, power steering, power brakes, bucket seats with console, power driver seat, power windows, deluxe seat belts, sport mirrors, Rally gauges and a very rare rim blow steering wheel Code N42.
