Description

Lot #543 - True survivor 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 429 CJ Ram Air with original paint, original interior and original matching numbers drivetrain with only 56,000 original miles. Title reads exempt but mileage is documented. Factory rated at 370hp. Car was in a Muscle Car Review for a "New" vs. "Old" Mustang article. Framed copy is included with sale. Deluxe Marti Report and Ford factory warranty card. Very well documented. This 429 CJ runs great and pulls hard. Factory 3.50 open differential. Drives great with power steering and power brakes. Rim Blow steering wheel. NO rust. Engine is all original including the original Rochester Quadrajet carburetor. Correct Breather, fuel pump and voltage regulator. Has a reproduction Autolite battery. Carter fuel pump is rebuilt and the car is freshly tuned. Tires are near new BFG Radial T/A's on the original 15" Magnum 500 rims. Blacked out hood for factory functional Ram-Air system. Space Saver spare that does not appear to have ever been on the ground. Really a time capsule. 1971 Mustangs introduced flush fit door handles and completely hidden windshield wipers to the automotive world. 1971 was the last year of big block high compression engines in the Mustang at Ford. This is a true survivor of one of the best Mustang examples with the best engine and colors produced.
