Description

Lot #626.1 - This 1971 Mach 1 is an original Survivor car with 50,000 actual miles. 100% original paint and interior, and its factory-installed original 429 Cobra Jet engine with all documentation from new. This car has its original window sticker. Assembly line build sheet, owner's and warranty manuals. This 71's are very unique cars unto themeselves in the fact that it's the first year for the new Larry Shinoda designed car. The first year for the 429 Cobra Jet to be installed in a Mustang and it was also the last year the engine was available in the Mustang making the few 429 CJ Mach 1's that were produced very special cars and extremely rare and sought after performance collectibles. Making this car even more rare and desirable is the fact that it is one of very few factory drag pack cars with the 3.91:1 Detroit locker 9" rear end. This cars is unbelievably fast! This is a good as example of a totally unmolested car that can be found and it's no trailer queen. Optional equipment listed on the original factory window sticker includes, power steering and brakes, AM 8-track stereo which does not work. Tackomoeter and instrumentation package, Magnum 500 wheels, deluxe interior with fold-down back seat, tinted glass, dual painted sport mirrors and rear sportdeck with factory spoiler. Making already rare car even more unique is the fact that it is finished in the 1year only color of grabber green metallic. Marty report documents that this is a true "one off" the production line.
