Description

Lot #4 - Just the ticket for high flying on and off-road adventure. Hundreds of build hours have gone into this brand new custom dune buggy featuring a new Vegas Buggies body and full length, not shortened, custom IRS/Link Pin chassis. This buggy was built to handle all the serious terrain you can throw at it, starting with the Dura-lined chassis which include: 14-gauge cold rolled sheet floor pans, a custom 3" body lift kit and a 1.5" D.O.M. full roll cage. To smooth out the rough stuff, the front and rear suspensions received only the best in off-road components including : a 6" wider Warrior front beam and heavy duty torsion bars, Tweeds 2.25" x 1" front trailing arms, center mounted rack & pinion steering, front disc brakes drilled, studded and welded with a Ford lug pattern, and 10" travel Bilstein 6100 Series front shocks. For rear cushioning, there are 3" wider and 3" longer rear trailing arms, 30mm torsion bars, Type 181 Thing brake drums and backing plates with parking brake and 12" Travel Bilstein 6100 Series rear shocks. To get this buggy up to top of the bumps, there is more horsepower than you can handle, as a result of a fire breathing 2165cc Stroker motor based on an all aluminum full flowed race case, lightened flywheel, mild cam for reliability, straight cut cam gears, 044 ported and polished heads, 44mm Weber carburetors, pointless Petronix electronic ignition, Facet racing fuel pump and Holley fuel regulator. Transferring all this power to the ground is a Bus 002 transmission and Berg shifter with new hydraulic clutch and pressure plate, McKenzie's 10 degree transmission mount kit, Porsche 930 C.V. joints and axles. For increased ride height and superb handling it has 15" x 8" Dick Cepek DC-1 wheels with 31" x 10.50 x 15" BF Goodrich Radial All Terrain tires. For interior touches of both form and function there is a VDO white face gauge set, sand sealed switches, quick release steering wheel, hanging pedal set with Jamar accelerator and cable. Racing PRP seats front and rear, 4-point front racing harnesses and standard rear seat belts.
