Description

Lot #5 - One of the nicest examples of a 1976 Lincoln Continental Mark IV anywhere in the country. This is a show quality car with only 22,000 actual miles. The Mark IV was a luxury car at the top end of the personal luxury car market between 1972 and 1976. This car clearly carries that distinction to this day. With only 22,000 actual miles, it's one of the lowest mileage 1976 Continentals anywhere in the country, and is in excellent condition throughout. This car is in original condition and has not been restored. Anyone can spend a lot of money and restore a car, but unrestored originals in this condition are very hard to come by. The car has the 460cid V8 engine, air-conditioning, power windows, power seats, and a working 8-track player. Many 8-track tapes will be included with the car. The car has been garaged and pampered all of its life, has never been smoked in and it shows. Serious car folks know that one of the ways to check how a car has been cared for is to look carefully at the engine compartment. The engine compartment of this car clearly reflects the overall condition of the car. The tires are Uniroyal Freedom tires and have less than 1000 miles on them. The spare tire has never been on the ground. The car also has original equipment four wheel disc brakes. The chrome is clear and shiny with no pits, and the vinyl top is in perfect condition. This car is as close to new as any 32 year old car can be. Originally purchased in Oklahoma City, it was bought by a man who bought this car and a Cadillac at the same time. He chose to keep this car in pristine condition and use the Cadillac as his daily driver. It was in the same family for 27 years and has only been in three families since new.
