Description

Lot #317 - In 1987, Chevrolet produced only 6,052 Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupes. This is certainly one of the nicest, un-restored and low mileage Aerocoupes. The car is completely original, with the exception of a new battery and new hood pad. The car was treated with Ziebert protection system when it was new. The amount of documentation and unbelievable care kept by this owner, along with less than 1,600 original miles and low production numbers, make this a museum worthy collector. The car was ordered by the original owner's uncle so the owner could receive the uncle's GM employee discount. A 1987 calendar with the documentation dates notes when the car was ordered, released for production and the ship date. On March 20, 1987 the owner's uncle took delivery from Denooyer Bro. Inc. in Kalamazoo, MI. Paperwork included is original window sticker, 1987 Monte Carlo factory brochure, original warranty booklet with salesman's business card, service checklist booklet, original owner's manual, original odometer statement and original owner's insurance policy dated May 12, 1987. The car was shipped from the factory with grey stripes and red SS emblems, which is believed to be a factory mistake. The owner ordered grey emblems to match stripes but never switched. The grey emblems are included. Words can not describe the condition of this car. The interior is showroom condition and the motor compartment still has GM stampings on the hoses. The car still has the 1993 Michigan temporary tags in rear window, from when the owner decided to re-register the auto. It also includes a custom car cover ordered on Aug 7, 1987 for a cost of $105.95. This rare car would be an exceptional addition to any collection or museum.
