Description

Lot #87 - The only GTLM II automatic ever built. This one has under 13,000 miles. JRD Tuning did the performance upgrades. The base MSRP new was $123,660, plus $23,800 at JRD Tuning, made this Panoz over $147,000 when new. Factory finished in Sapphire over Parchment. Supercharged 4.6-liter,530hp with 510 ft/lbs of torque, stainless-steel exhaust and oversized half shafts. HRE wheel upgrade, limited slip, 6-disc CD changer and secondary shift program. This vehicle is equipped and upgraded all by JRD, Panoz's partner in ultra-high performance. Of the 33 GTLMs produced, this is the only automatic. All specs were provided by John Leverett, Sales Director at Panoz. The LM stands for LeMans. The long nose and tail are designed for the Esperante to provide stability at high speeds. The Esperante was designed by race engineers and won their class at LeMans in 2006. It features extruded aluminum frame structures bolted to a steel sub-frame and hydro-formed aluminum body panels with a carbon-fiber superstructure. Under the hood is a hand-built Cobra engine and a modified 4R75W Mach 1 transmission. The most exclusive U.S. auto manufacturer with no fussy Italian electronics or computers. Sold new at Riverside Ford in Macon, Georgia, and owned in Florida since new. This car is one of one with serial number 001 as well. This car has under 13,000 original miles.
